Yes, If you would like to return an item you must contact us via email returns@baldyloxboutique.com within 14 working days of receiving the item. We will then provide you further instructions via email.

It is your responsibility to ensure the safe delivery of the item and ensure the item is returned in its original condition and has not been altered.

Exchanges will be processed subject to availability and only once the returned item has been received and inspected. You should allow a maximum of 10 working days from the day we receive the item for your exchange/refund/store credit to be processed.

NEED TO KNOW

We only accept your return/exchange/store credit if:

Has all original tags and labels attached.

Has not been worn, used or damaged. You must ensure the item has not been altered in any way i.e. lace cutting.

Is not soiled by fake tan, makeup or hair products.

Is posted back within 28 days of receipt (We understand overseas shipping can take around 10-15 working days to reach us.)

All returns must include your return label or Order Number attached for our team to locate your initial purchase.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW

• Once we have received your return, you will receive an email notification.
• Processing of the return usually takes 10-14 working days.
• Subject to availability, exchanges will be despatched after processing and should be received by you within 2-3 working days of despatch (*Area exceptions apply).
• Refunds will be made immediately after processing and should show in your account within 10 days, depending on your bank’s timescales.
• Please allow up to 21 days to returns from overseas destination to reach us.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

• If you have specified or requested our team to cut the lace or you have cut the lace yourself on any 'Ready To Ship' or customised item/s, we cannot refund you.
• Any returns that are worn, soiled or damaged will not be accepted and may be returned to you.

VAT EXEMPTION

WHAT IS VAT?

VAT is levied on most goods and services provided by registered businesses in the UK and is required by law to be collected from clients within the UK. The standard rate of VAT is charged at 20%. International clients do not have to pay VAT on their purchases and can still receive our 10% off medical hair-loss discount.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO CLAIM VAT?

VAT exemption is available to buyers in the UK who wear wigs for necessity reasons.

You can qualify to claim the VAT exemption who require wigs due to medical hair loss when you buy a wig or hairpiece for personal use from Baldy Lox Boutique. If you are someone affected by a medical hair loss condition; examples include Alopecia, Post-Operative Hair Loss, and Chemotherapy Treatment, and is confirmed by a GP, you are classed as necessity wearers.

Please note the VAT exemption only applies to the actual wigs or hairpieces. The VAT exemption does not apply to cut and colour service or any accessories. If any of the above applies to you, you are entitled to receive the VAT off the cost of your wig. 

How do I claim VAT relief online?

Before your purchase, fill in the VAT exemption form on this page, with all the required details, and return it back to our friendly team hairloss@baldyloxboutique.com. We will validate the information and supply a VAT free cost when you come to pay for your wig or hairpiece. Each purchase requires a new form. Please be aware that orders cannot be processed less VAT until we have had confirmation of the VAT exemption form either by post, by hand or by email, nor can a refund be issued after the order has been processed and despatched. 

Can someone fill in the details and sign on my behalf?

Yes. If the wearer is unable to sign the declaration a representative can complete and sign for the VAT exemption such as a parent, guardian, representative, doctor or other health professional.

A VAT free wig or hairpiece can be supplied to a trustee acting on that wearers behalf or a spouse, parent or guardian.

What can happen if the information is invalid?

Please ensure that the form is completed and that the details submitted are accurate. The Baldy Lox Boutique Hair Loss Support Department will validate the submission, and missing or incomplete information can delay the sale. Please note, HMRC can impose penalties for making false declarations. Making a false declaration to the HMRC is fraudulent. Please avoid this at all costs.

Can I claim VAT relief after the purchase?

No. The request for VAT exemption must be made before the purchase is completed.
