Delivery

Due to high demand, please allow 12-20 weeks delivery for all custom human hair wigs.

Charges and timescales

Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the type of products ordered, the service you select, delivery address and unforeseeable disruptions to delivery services, international orders are accepted and dispatched via DHL, EVRY or Royal Mail. A tracking number will be provided once dispatched.

Please note that certain products may be subject to additional terms and conditions of sale relevant to the delivery
charges and/or timescales applicable to that product. Delivery will be to the
UK or international address specified in your order, if no one is available at a residential or other address at the time of delivery and the parcel is too
big to fit through a letter box, a card will be left with instructions on where to collect your parcel or how to rearrange delivery.

All risk in the products you order (including risk of loss and/or damage to the products) shall pass to you when they are
delivered to the delivery address specified in your order. Baldy Lox
Boutique shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products if the delay or failure is wholly or partly caused by circumstances beyond our control. 

Customs & duties

Will I be charged customs and import duties?

We have noticed some countries are very strict & difficult with customs and may hold the parcel at the customs location. If your parcel is being held they will contact you or us. 

Sometimes if your country decides to hold your parcel they may decide to charge you extra to collect your parcel. You may
be required to pay these when you accept delivery of the item. If you refuse to accept delivery of the items you have purchased, the courier will return the items back to Baldy Lox Boutique.

We only accept payment in UK Pound Sterling (GBP). Customers outside the UK will be billed in Sterling. We accept the following cards as well as PayPal and Clearpay payments:

2. How do I use Clearpay?

OMNI: Clearpay can be used online and instore. To transact online, just shop on Merchant Site a​nd check out as normal. At checkout, choose the Clearpay payment method. You will be directed to the Clearpay website to register and provide payment details (Visa, Mastercard or Amex).

If you’ve used Clearpay before, just log in to your Clearpay account. Then complete your order!

To use Clearpay instore, simply download the Clearpay mobile app, set up the Clearpay Card, and use the Clearpay Card with Apple Pay or Google Pay to make a contactless payment at check out. You will repay us the amount in 4 instalments.

OMNI: Clearpay is only available to permanent UK residents aged 18+ (excluding Channel Islands) with a UK billing address.

5. How does the Clearpay payment schedule work?

OMNI: Clearpay will split the total value of your order into 4 instalments payable every fortnight. When transacting online the exact amounts and dates will be displayed for you to agree to before you confirm your purchase. For instore purchases you will receive your payment summary once you have successfully transacted.

If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log into your Clearpay account to make your payments early. Clearpay will then adjust the amount owed accordingly.

You can log in to your Clearpay account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

If your order is £24 or over, total late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order or £24, whichever is less.

Clearpay debt may be passed to a debt collection agency and this may affect your ability to use Clearpay in future. We encourage you to use Clearpay responsibly. Please see Clearpay Terms of Service for further details.

10. How do I return or exchange an item purchased with Clearpay?

OMNI: Clearpay purchases follow the retailer's standard return policy for both instore and online transactions. Check with the retailer’s return policy to make sure your purchase is eligible for return.

Please note, refunds for Clearpay purchases will be refunded from Merchant Site ​to Clearpay. We cannot provide an exchange or cash refund.

Refunds

PROCESSING RETURNS & EXCHANGE

It is important to us that our customers are satisfied with their purchase. If you are unhappy with the item you ordered, you may return the item for a refund/exchange/store credit. You must ensure the item has not been altered in any way and is returned in its original packaging along with any free gifts within 28 days of receipt (We understand overseas shipping can take around 10-15 working days to reach us). If you fail to comply with these terms and conditions, you will not be entitled to a refund/exchange/store credit.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, your right to cancel an order starts the moment you place it and ends 14 days after your goods are delivered.

In accordance to UK Law, Baldy Lox Boutique can legally keep a deposit or advance payments, or ask you to pay a cancellation charge, only in certain circumstances. Should a customer cancels the agreed contract once production has started, Baldy Lox Boutique is entitled to keep or receive an amount sufficient to cover losses that directly result from your cancellation (eg costs already incurred). Baldy Lox Boutique has the legal right to withhold refunds until goods are returned (or evidence of return is provided).

In accordance to, Department For Business Innovation & Skills under Consumer Contracts - Implementing Guidance December 2013: Contracts that are bespoke and customised goods are exempt from cancellation rights.


PROCESSING RETURNS/EXCHANGE/STORE CREDIT

If you would like to return an item you must contact us via email within 14 working days of receiving the item. If we agree to accept the item - you must send it back for a refund or exchange within 28 days of receipt (We understand overseas shipping can take around 10-15 working days to reach us.)

It is your responsibility to ensure the safe delivery of the item and ensure the item is returned in its original condition and has not been altered.

Refunds & Exchanges will be processed subject to availability and only once the returned item has been received and inspected. You should allow a maximum of 10 working days from the day we receive the item for your exchange/refund/store credit to be processed.


NEED TO KNOW

We only accept your return/exchange/store credit if:

  • Has all original tags, labels, and security ribbon attached.
  • Has not been worn, used or damaged. You must ensure the item has not been altered in any way i.e. lace cutting.
  • Is not soiled by fake tan, makeup or hair products.
  • Is posted back within 28 days of receipt (We understand overseas shipping can take around 10-15 working days to reach us.)
  • All returns must include your return label or Order Number attached for our team to locate your initial purchase.
  • We recommend you avoid using carriers such as DHL and TNT.
  • Please use your local postal service using a signed-for service. We don’t take responsibility for lost parcels whilst being returned to us. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of sending and a tracking number.
  • Please mark the outside package as ‘Returned Goods’ and declare the value as very low. All custom/import charges for returned items will be charged by the customer and deducted from the customers refund. 


WHAT HAPPENS NOW

  • Once we have received your return, you will receive an email notification.
  • Processing of the return usually takes 10-14 working days.
  • Subject to availability, exchanges will be despatched after processing and should be received by you within 2-3 working days of despatch (*Area exceptions apply).
  • Refunds will be made immediately after processing and should show in your account within 10 days, depending on your bank’s timescales.
  • Please allow up to 21 days to returns from overseas destination to reach us.


OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • We do not accept refunds on custom orders. If you have specified or requested our team to cut the lace on any 'Ready To Ship' item/s, this is also considered a custom order.
  • Any returns that are worn, soiled or damaged will not be accepted and may be returned to you.


 CUSTOM ORDERS 

All Custom Orders are non-refundable. However, all of our wigs are quality inspected throughout the entirety of the production process and photographed before departure and therefore in very rare circumstances a product may arrive to a customer faulty. In this instance, we do look into each individual case and a customer may be eligible for a refund/exchange/store credit once inspected. Our refund/exchange/store credit policy above still applies. 

A Custom Order is any requirement selected on the website with the word “Custom“ besides it. Any requests sent via email or order invoices sent from us will be considered a Custom Order. If a detailed order agreement has been formed between the Customer and our Company via any third party website/platform this is also classified as a Custom Order. Depending on the selection, custom wigs can take at least 12-16 weeks or 16-20 weeks. In some instances, subject to availability, a custom piece can be in production considerably longer. This is because the ethically sourced materials are made of a natural resource (human hair) grown from a human scalp which can result in a shortage of donors. A customer is liable to carefully read the product information and mandatory declare they have read these Terms and Conditions prior to making an order. 

Your selection and confirmation of any order placed indicates your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

Order Placement

Due to high demand, please allow 12-20 weeks delivery for all custom human hair wigs. If we have the wig in stock this time
will be shorter.

Once you have entered your order details at the checkout and the payment has been accepted, you will receive an order
summary by email. 

Once your order is ready to be shipped, you will receive a tracking number from one of our couriers - DHL, EVRY or Royal Mail.

Where is my order?

It is important that before you make an order, you understand the selection, category and processing times of your chosen wig.

We offer a variety of different services of which depending on your chosen preference, will have a different production process. You can find this information within the category or description of your chosen wig.

All purchased orders selected on the website with the word “Custom“ besides it means it is custom made to order. This means you have ordered a custom wig that will require a customisation process that can take between 12-20 weeks of completion depending on the custom collection. Therefore, once your custom wig is ready to be collected by our trusted courier, you will then receive a shipping email from us stating the tracking information of your parcel.

If you have purchased a 'Ready To Ship' wig, please expect a shipping email from us in the next 3-4 business working days that will have the tracking information you need to track your parcel.

All customer orders made via our website will automatically receive a confirmation email of purchase. Please do check your junk mail if it is not in you inbox.

unit in arrange of hairstyles, as if it was your very own bio hair. We also offer custom orders, tailoring to your individual needs and requirements. 

Our sole purpose of creating a wig service is to help and support individuals who may suffer with a hair loss condition. Hair loss treatments can be severely detrimental to a persons confidence and mental health. Being the proud owner of this company, it is my duty to bring back that sparkle of confidence back into your life. 

On the other hand it is also important to explain that our wigs are not just for people with hair loss conditions. Our luxe units also promote a protective style, allowing your bio hair to take a
rest from hot tools, colouring or any other chemicals which can cause damage to your natural hair.  

We like to think of ourselves as hair enthusiasts built from a community that believes customer service and
uncompromised hair quality is above all things. 

Why are wig options important?

We understand that giving customers the opportunity to choose a variety of wig options creates a diverse service, dedicated to our customers individual needs. All made from 100% raw human hair, all lengths, lace types and thicknesses are available. 

Our standard lace type is HD lace which is finer and more fragile than regular Swiss and French lace. It blends better with the skin for a less visible appearance. Hd lace is thinner and finer than
regular Swiss lace and therefore will need extra care. It is even less
detectable to give the illusion of a human scalp which is comparable to a silk base wig. However both Swiss and HD lace will melt well into your skin creating a very natural look.

Can you wash and style human hair wigs?

Absolutely! The versatility you have with a human hair wig is just as much as you would have with your bio hair.  You can wash and use hot tools to style your wig. However, we do advise that you use sulfate free products because sulfates remove the natural oils and die pigments from the hair. 

Unfortunately all human hair wigs do not last forever, simply because it no longer receives the natural vitamins and minerals
our bodies give it and therefore must be taken good care of to  promote longevity. 

You can also dye your human hair wigs but at your own risk. If you are inclined to do this we recommend you carry out a strand test first. We do not advise you dye over our custom
coloured units as this may damage or ruin your wig if it is not done professionally.

Can I swim with my wig on?

Yes, of course you can! We recommend you choose a water proof adhesive to keep the wig
placed securely. However we do recommend you wear a swimming cap or an old wig in chlorine based pools as the chemical will damage and dry out the hair and possibly change the hair dye for the worst. 

Are wigs just for people with hair loss conditions?

Absolutely not! For example many celebrities wear wigs on red carpet events to change up their looks without damaging their bio
hair. Can you imagine the damage it would cause on celebs such as Beyonce, Kylie
Jenner, Nicki Minaj or Katy Perry to name a few. If they actually changed their bio hair as
much as they do, It would totally annihilate it!

We are always asked by many A-List celebrities and TV personalities who suffer in silence to design them wigs for many health reasons, not just hair loss. You would be shocked at how many celebs have actually worn our wigs for personal reasons we honour to keep private! A few are very famous individuals you see often.

How do you put on a wig?

Placing a wig on your head can be a little daunting for a beginner however it is really quite simple. There are many YouTube videos that can help you or simply head

Adhesives

Wig tape is the most convenient way to secure the wig. Ideally, you want to wash your wig as little as possible to promote wig longevity and wig tape does not create product build up.

Glue and hairspray is a great alternative if you personally don't like tape however, both of these forms of adhesives will create product build up and if not applied or removed correctly, it can damage the lace.

Please take care when taking the wig off as this can create bald patches around the hair line area. We recommend to use a product that removes wig glue or warm water for hairsprays, gels and
tapes.

 

Can you sleep in a wig?

You absolutely can but we recommend you use a satin or silk pillow, head scarf or bonnet when you go to sleep. 

However if you want your wig to last you longer, we advise that you take the wig off carefully before you go to bed.
